Some players have reported that their CPU or GPU heat raises above expected levels when playing SUPERVIVE. This can lead to instability, and especially framerate drops. This has especially been an issue with dual-GPU systems, such as gaming laptops.
Framerate drops from "good FPS" to "bad FPS" (e.g. 100 -> 30) - LAPTOPS
This is a common issue when gaming on a laptop and it begins reaching high temperatures, it will downclock the CPU and GPU to prevent malfunction. The best way to avoid this is to manage the heat of the system by:
- Cap your in-game Framerate at a lower number (e.g. 60)
- Cap framerate in menus and in background at a low number (e.g. 30)
- Reduce your in game graphics settings to the "Low" preset, disable VSync and Lumen
- Close additional applications that may be placing extra CPU/GPU load while playing SUPERVIVE
- You may need to improve cooling in your system (often an issue of dust buildup)
- You can also cap your framerate directly in graphics drivers
